Communications Plan

The City of Montréal is eager to move forward with this project and share what steps we will be taking and when. The plan with this transition in Little Burgundy is that the City of Montréal is going to develop a blog campaign to fully explain this significant project. This will highlight the specifics of this project and the importance of it all. It will also outline how this will benefit the community in the long run. This blog campaign will consist of a four-part series, explaining what will be occurring during the months and which milestones have been succeeded.

AUDIENCE

This blog campaign will specifically attract the current residents of this apartment complex in Little Burgundy. It will be designed to keep them up to date with this project. Potential future homeowners may also be interested in this new housing development we are designing. This new complex will be much bigger and offer much more than the current complex. This blog campaign will be great to show off the new apartment complex to bring in potential buyers who may be interested.

SPOKESPEOPLE

There will be no voice unheard, along with the professionals working on this project, the local communities may also be involved with their opinions and voices. The City of Montréal wants to make sure all feel included with this project and transition. This blog campaign will give the opportunity for the professionals to explain each stage accordingly and to also provide specific knowledge about this project. Once this has been communicated, we welcome anyone to come and discuss this project with us. In order for this transition to be as successful as possible, we want clear communication from all parties.

CONTENT

This blog campaign is to help the current residents understand the future transition as clearly and as easily as possible without explaining this transition too extensively. The City of Montréal wants to keep any possible confusion to a minimum. This blog series will provide transparency of this project to ensure a complete understanding of what is happening in each stage. Each blog will consist of the specific stage the construction is in and a brief of what the next stage will contain. This will include a write-up of what has occurred during this stage, along with photos to provide visual imagery. This will be an important asset to provide as visual components will help bring the written words to life. Once it has been published, anyone can read it but the individuals and families who are involved with the transition plan will be given their own copy as they need the information. The focus is to keep the Little Burgundy residents involved with this process through all the different stages. After each blog series has been released, there will be an option for anyone to contact us with questions, concerns, or comments.

CALENDAR

This blog campaign will be released over the six-month duration of this project. This timeline is to give all the original residents of Little Burgundy, an update on the construction and what is to be foreseen in the coming month.

The first blog will be released right before the construction starts, so beginning of month one. The second blog will be released a the beginning of month two, giving an update on the first month of the construction and what will be coming in the next stage. The third blog will be released at the end of month four to provide another update on the almost completed construction process. The final blog will be released at the end of month six, providing information about the interior of the apartments along with what the next step will be regarding official re-opening and what steps need to be made for moving into this location. Each blog will be written by a team of public relation specialist and construction managers to ensure all information is clear and correct. Each blog campaign will have contact information provided for those who have any further questions.

CONCLUSION

This four-part blog series will bring forth a clear understanding of this process, along with a quality explanation and transparency to this project to ensure the most success for this operation for all involved.
